Media:  Watercolor and Colored Pencil

Glenda Cook Mullins has been making artwork since early childhood.  Recently retired from teaching art in the public schools for 31 years, she is currently exploring new ideas and materials in her artwork.  Glenda works primarily in Colored Pencil and sometimes adds watercolor to selected areas.  She renders realistic depictions of wildlife, fish, and flowers, in addition to more complicated kaleidoscope designs.  Workshops with nationally known Colored Pencil artist, Ver Curnow and Janie Gildow have spurred Glenda to try techniques using Colore Pencils combined with solvents.  Glenda is a member of the national Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), several local art organizations, and a National Board Certified Teacher.

From the artist: "Art is an ongoing learning process for me.  It means constantly experimenting with new materials and processes and gaining new information from others through participation in classes, art organizations, exhibits, and discussions."
